About Us

The College of Engineering (CoE) Facilities Administration provides support for facility projects; general facility maintenance; space allocation and management; safety guidance and access management. We pride ourselves on our knowledge of facilities best practices and responsiveness to meet the needs of faculty, staff, and students of the CoE. We collaborate with other colleges and departments (e.g., Office of Physical Plant, Police Services, Environmental Health and Safety, etc.) to also achieve the mission and vision of the College of Engineering and Penn State.

Facilities Administration Responsibilities:

To achieve the mission of the CoE, Facilities Administration provides the following services:

  • Access Management: We work with local access coordinators and physical security to assign keys and clearances, order keys, and ensure that access control systems are maintained.
  • Project Management: We work with OPP and department customers to ensure that facilities projects meet the customer’s needs and projects are within a reasonable budget and schedule.
  • Program Management: We work with department leaders to develop individual facilities needs or multi-disciplinary programs that spread multiple individuals and/or other departments.
  • Project Funding Development: We work with department leaders to develop reasonable budgets to allocate appropriate funding.
  • Lost and Found: We work with department offices and University Lost and Found to assist with the return of lost items to rightful owners.
  • Work Orders: We work with OPP and department customers to ensure small projects and work requests meet their needs within a reasonable time frame.
